What the exam actually tests
The Zürcher Aufnahmeprüfung is three papers, not one. French was removed in 2023. We teach what is on the paper, and nothing we cannot teach well.
Paper one
Deutsch: Textverständnis und Sprachbetrachtung
Reading a text closely and answering on grammar, structure and meaning. Practised weekly against real past papers.
Paper two
Deutsch: Aufsatz
Writing under time pressure. Every essay is marked by hand and returned with the correction your child can act on.
Paper three
Mathematik
Core calculation made automatic, then the question types the exam actually uses, and a method for the ones it invents.
How it runs, and what it costs
Fourteen sessions of two hours, one to one or semi-private with up to five children, starting any week. Every fee, Gymnasium Prep, maths support and one-to-one tutoring, is in the brochure.

If the trial session isn't right for your child, we refund the CHF 45.

Payment

- Pathway fees in two instalments: half at the start, half at session 7
- Missed session made up in another group the same week, if announced in advance
- If the trial session isn't right for your child, we refund the CHF 45.

Start with the placement assessment
Forty-five minutes, free, in Deutsch and Mathematik. It tells you whether your child is on track for the exam and which group fits. You get it in writing within three days.
If the honest answer is that another year of maths support serves your child better than exam preparation, we will say that instead of selling you the course.
What we do not promise
A place at the Gymnasium. Nobody can promise that, and a centre that does is telling you something else about itself.
What we promise is a qualified teacher for each paper, one-to-one or semi-private teaching, marked work every week, and an honest read on where your child stands.
